ELLISVILLE – Jones College’s Workforce College is offering training to help applicants prepare for a new career as an entry-level Heavy Equipment Operator. The class will meet at Jones College’s Advanced Technology Center on Monday & Tuesday nights from 6 p.m. until 9 p.m. with hands-on training on Saturdays from 7 a.m. until 3 p.m.
This course will include lecture, simulator training and hands-on skills to prepare trainees as entry-level equipment operators. Trainees will learn heavy equipment operations from the ground up with a strong emphasis on safety. Equipment used for training includes excavators and dozers. Successful participants will earn an NCCER card and a Jones College Workforce Certificate.
