At the end of each semester, special recognition is given to students for outstanding academic achievement. Honors are based on grade point averages and full time status.
Each spring semester, students are selected to be guests at a banquet in their honor. Selection of these students is coordinated through the Office of Student Affairs and is made on the basis of outstanding academic scholarship with the remainder being selected from students who have made outstanding contributions at Jones. All students selected must be eligible for graduation by the termination of the succeeding semester.
Hall of Fame recipients are selected from students who earn the Hall of Fame Semifinalist honor. To be considered for the Hall of Fame, semifinalists must complete a semifinalist rubric and return it to the Office of Student Affairs on an appointed date. Hall of Fame finalists are chosen based on rubric criteria as well as recommendations from the Hall of Fame Committee composed of faculty.
Each spring, Jones selects students as Hall of Fame Semifinalists. These students are selected by maintaining at 3.5 GPA and having completed 31 hours of credit at Jones. Semifinalists must be eligible for graduation in May or August of the current academic year.
