JCJC Radiography students honored by peers

ELLISVILLE – Jones County Junior College recent graduate, Kasey Bishop of Collins earned the title of, “Clinical Student of the Year” by the area clinical site radiographers. Bishop, along with all of the JCJC radiography students traveled to area hospitals and medical clinics for the clinical application of their studies, or hands on learning in the workplace.
“I am thankful for the opportunity that I have gained from my education from the Radiography Program at JCJC. My family, husband Reuben, my four-year old son Raiden, my sister-in-law, Amy Bishop, and my mother and father in law, Debbie and Ronnie Bishop have supported me in everything I have done. Thank you Sandy Cochran and Donna Dykes for the guidance and education I have gained from you,” said an appreciative Bishop. 
Her future plans include working at the MEA Medical Clinic in Laurel and perform PRN duties at Covington County Hospital in Collins.
Also honored as Co-Academic Students of the Year by fellow JCJC radiography students, were Cody Eidson and Kristin Powell of Laurel. They earned the highest average during their two years in the radiography program.
