JCJC Sophomore Music Students Perform

ELLISVILLE – The Jones County Junior College sophomore music students invite the public to hear them perform. The final performances of sixteen sophomore music students will be held on five nights in April.
Scheduled to perform on Monday, April 2, at 7 p.m. in the Foote chapel will be flutist Nohemi Martinez of Meridian. Joining Martinez in concert will be Hattiesburg native, William Case showing off his piano skills, while Staci Thornton will be singing and Kristen Anderson will be featured on her saxophone. 
The Monday, April 9, concert will feature on tuba, Darius Valentine of Vicksburg. Hattiesburg’s Lynn Arnold will perform her vocal concert. Playing the piano will be Columbia’s Jon Bullock and Seminary’s Kimberly Lott.
Final performances for Brooke Armstrong of Hickory, and Taylorsville’s Angela Hatten and Chace Thrash, will be held on Monday, April 12 at 7 p.m. Armstrong will be singing, while Hatten will perform on the piano and Thrash will play on his guitar.
Percussionists Nathan Ball of Seminary and Anthony Luker of Laurel will give their sophomore recitals as part of the Percussion Ensemble’s concert on Monday, April 23, at 7 p.m. in the JCJC Fine Arts Auditorium.
The final four sophomore performances will be on Tuesday, April 24, at 7 p.m. in the JCJC chapel. Raleigh’s Latisha Hamilton will play her guitar, while Quitman’s Virginia Smith and Staci Thornton of State Line will perform on the piano. John Wright of Yazoo City will be singing for his final concert.
