JCJC is offering welding classes in Greene County

ELLISVILLE – Jones County Junior College’s Workforce Development is offering a Welding class at the new Greene County Vo-Tech center in Leakesville. Registration will be Tuesday, January 10, 2012, the night class begins, and run through June 28, 2012. This course is being offered on Monday and Tuesdays, from 3 p.m. until 6 p.m. and on Monday and Tuesday nights from 6 p.m. until 9 p.m.
 
The welding class will cover welding safety, Oxyfuel cutting, base metal preparation, weld quality, SMAW, equipment and setup, electrodes and selection, and bead and fillet welds. The 150-hour class costs $300.
