ELLISVILLE – A couple of thousand princesses, super heroes, goblins and ghouls filled the Jones County Junior College campus at the annual Treats in the Streets. Part of the festivities included costume contests for babies and teens, honoring the most creative kids with treats from JCJC.

College students who dressed the best were also given cash prizes for their efforts. Winning the Most Original category was Bethany Douglass of Fruitdale, AL for her “Sponge Bob” costume. The Most Creative was Victoria Graham of Laurel who dressed up as a “Homeless Person”. The Scariest costume winner was Diavonte Crear of Magee, dressed as the “Ghost Face”. The Best Overall costume winner was Tyler Martin of Laurel who disguised himself as Darth Vader.

Treats in the Streets is an annual, free, community event that is hosted by the JCJC Student Government Association and the city of Ellisville.
