ELLISVILLE – This year’s annual fall blood drive at Jones County Junior College should be historic, according to the committee spearheading the drive. Special Centennial door prizes like commemorative Centennial coffee cups will be given to every one hundredth donor.  Hopefully this will attract more people to ‘stick out their paws’ and donate.
“Typically, at the fall blood drive we have more than 300 people who are able to donate. Our goal is to improve that by 100 people as a way to celebrate JCJC’s Centennial,” said Sandy Cochran, JCJC Blood Drive Committee Chair.
Anyone from the community is invited to donate and participate in this special blood drive which will be held on three days, Monday, September 26 through Wednesday, September, 28 from 9 a.m. until 5 p.m. daily in the Game Room.
Something else that is sure to attract more donors is the top prize from United Blood Services: tickets to the Egg Bowl game between rivals Mississippi State and Ole Miss on Saturday, November 26. For more information about the drive, contact Sandy Cochran at 601-477-4159.
