Eight JCJC Employees Announce Retirement

ELLISVILLE – Eight Jones County Junior College employees were recently honored for their service to JCJC at the annual Retirement Tea. These faculty and staff members have almost 165 years of combined experience at Jones.   

Mavis Massengale is retiring from the switchboard but she has served in a couple of positions at Jones for 14 years.  Grace Williams has also worked in two different positions on campus. She has been the resident manager in Smith Hall for five years and she has worked for almost 15 years in the cafeteria. H.C. Hutto has worked in transportation for 29 years. Cecil Chambliss has been a science instructor for 14 years. Royce Black worked for 32 ½ years in the IT department. For 23 years, Warrene Ferry has been teaching math and has served as division chair for the last 14 years. Barbara Chambers has been teaching English for 13 years and Jim Read has been a social science instructor for 19 years.
