Bobcats receive votes in latest NJCAA baseball poll

 ELLISVILLE – Jones County Junior College received votes in the latest NJCAA Division II Baseball poll, which was released Wednesday afternoon.

Head coach Christian Ostrander’s Bobcats are 23-11 overall and lead the MACJC South Division at 10-6 heading into Wednesday evening’s doubleheader at Pearl River Community College.

JCJC received 10 votes, more than any other MACJC school. Northwest Mississippi Community College was the only other state school to receive a vote.

Frederick Community College (Md.) moves up to No. 1 this week. The Cougars are 27-2. LSU-Eunice of Region 23 drops to No. 2 from No. 1. The Bengals are 29-9.

The Bobcats will travel to Itawamba Community College for a 2 p.m. doubleheader on Saturday.
