Starter Logan Riddell pitched well, but the Bobcats could not muster any offense to support him.
The game was scoreless heading into the bottom of the sixth when Brett Pirtie and John Alexander led off the inning for the Ponies with a pair of singles. That chased Riddell and brought reliever Jaron Bailey into the game.
Bailey retired Kameron Walker on a popup, but Steven Martinez then singled to drive in Pirtie and the other runners advanced a base on the throw home. The Bobcats then elected to intentionally walk Nic Ammirati to load the bases.
David Perkins followed with a grand slam home run to give Panola a 5-0 lead.
