ELLISVILLE – The Jones County Junior College Lady Bobcats will have the opportunity to face the No. 1 team in the nation this weekend.

Head coach Dolores Deasley’s Region 23 championship team will travel to Tyler, Texas, to face Tyler Junior College, the Region 14 champion, at 2 p.m. on Saturday for the District E championship.

JCJC is 15-2-1 and claimed their regional title with a 1-0 victory over Meridian Community College last Friday at Hinds Community College.  The Lady Bobcats have won 11 straight games.
