Former Jones County Junior College star wide receiver Deion Branch is back with the New England Patriots.

Branch was traded late Monday night from the Seattle Seahawks to the Patriots for a fourth-round draft pick.

Branch starred for the Bobcats in 1997-98, helping JCJC to a 12-0 record and national championship in 1998. As a freshman at Jones, he caught 37 passes for 639 yards and five touchdowns. As a sophomore, he had 69 receptions for 1,012 yards and nine scores.

The Patriots drafted him in 2002 out of the University of Louisville.

In 2005, Branch helped the Patriots to a 24-21 victory over the Philadelphia Eagles in Super Bowl XXXIX. He was named the game’s Most Valuable Player after having 11 receptions for 133 yards. In the 2005 season, he had a career-best 78 catches for almost 1,000 yards and five touchdowns.

This season for the Seahawks, Branch has 13 receptions for 112 yards and a touchdown.

The Patriots host the Baltimore Ravens at noon Sunday on CBS.
