JCJC student earns MS Radiological Society Scholarship

ELLISVILLE- Jones County Junior College radiologic technology graduate from Wayne County, Jeri Singley received the Outstanding Radiologic Technology Student of the Year Award from JCJC Radiology Technology instructor, Mandy Pearson. With this honor, Singley earned a $400 scholarship from the Mississippi Radiologic Society in recognition of her ability to maintain a 4.0 GPA over the course of the two-year program while also working part-time in a local hospital. Additionally, Singley’s instructors said she demonstrated sound moral character in both the classroom and in the clinical setting.
 
“I am very honored to be nominated and to receive this scholarship. This scholarship not only allows me to further my education, it will also help me to expand my career in different areas. I would like to greatly thank the committee that allowed me this opportunity to receive this scholarship and to have a chance to grow in my career," said Singley. 
 
The full time radiologic technologist is currently employed at South Central Regional Medical Center in Laurel with plans to pursue a certification in Computed Tomography (CT).
