Bobcat soccer teams win on road vs. Northwest

 SENATOBIA – The Jones County Junior College soccer teams posted a pair of victories here Saturday afternoon.

The Lady Bobcats beat Northwest Mississippi Community College, 5-1, while the JCJC men’s team outgunned the Rangers, 6-5.

In the women’s game, Danica Roberts got the ‘hat trick’ for Jones, posting three goals. Macey Endris and Chelsea Wooten also had goals. Bridget Dennis had two assists, while Endris, Wooten and Sarah O’Quinn had assists.

The Lady Bobcats improve to 7-2-1 on the year, while Northwest falls to 2-6.

In the men’s game, Manuel Ferrer and Patrick Coates had two goals each for the Bobcats, while Josh Corley and Nick Peden had one goal apiece. Coates, Ferrer, Peden, McKenzie Johnson and Giuliano Mancini each had assists for JCJC.

The Bobcat men are now 5-5 on the year, while the Rangers drop to 3-6.

The JCJC soccer teams will go to East Central on Thursday. The women’s game starts at 2 p.m., followed by the men’s game at 4 p.m.
