JCJC employees celebrate retirees

ELLISVILLE – Jones County Junior College held their annual “Retirement Tea” for four employees retiring this May.  When combined, these employees provided nearly 100 years of service to JCJC and other educational institutions. 
 
The 2017 retirees include the following individuals who are listed with their positions held at Jones and years of service at JCJC.
 
Jim Blackburn of Newton County, worked for four years in the Industrial Services Center teaching electronics.  He previously taught at East Central Community College for 20 years. Deborah Cheeks has served as an administrative assistant for the Career and Technical Deans Office and the Health and Human Services assistant for a combined 36 years at JCJC. Joan McCoy of Sumrall has taught science courses for 23 years at Jones.  Larry Meyer completed 19 years as a heating and air instructor. (Unless otherwise indicated, employees listed are residents of Jones County.)
