JCJC employees honored for years of service

ELLISVILLE – Fifty-five Jones County Junior College faculty and staff members were recently honored for their years of service to the college. Administrators and the JCJC Foundation treated everyone to a crawfish and burger lunch and recognized employees at five-year increments, beginning with those who have served at least five years.
 
There were two employees who celebrated 25 years with JCJC Allen Nix, housekeeping director and Clara Bynum, financial aid department.
 
Six JCJC employees were recognized for their 20 years of service: Jennifer Suber, financial aid; Daphne Yeager, business office; Andrew Sharp, library-student success center; Randy Purdum, electrical technology; Cheryl Windham, humanities division chair/instructor and Juanita Morgan, business office.  
 
Celebrating 15 years of employment at JCJC were Danielle Brownlee, A.D. Nursing instructor; Carmen Sumrall, Workforce College; Kari Miller, registrar’s office; Amanda Robertson, business office manager; David Lowery, English instructor; Paula Pierce, art instructor; Jeffrey Morris, groundskeeper; Michelle Shearer, women’s housing director; and Melanie James, academic life coach.
 
Thirteen JCJC employees were recognized for their 10 years of service including Ginger Keeton,  marketing instructor; Dolores Deasley, women’s soccer coach; Emily Phillips, associate degree nursing instructor; Jason Dedwylder, academic dean; Loretta Burns, associate degree nursing instructor; Brad Harrison, career technical education support services; Murray Windham, English instructor; Jennifer Griffith, assistant VP of instructional affairs for Workforce College; Megan Stringer, science instructor; Leah Hinton, early childhood instructor; Sarah Ishee, social science instructor; Kelly Atwood, student publications/marketing and Kenneth Savell Sr., maintenance.
 
For five years, nineteen employees were honored for their service including Nancy Pritchard, associate degree nursing instructor; Kacie Minnix, registrar; Kelly Vera, science instructor; Joe Everett, physical plant director; Brad Reynolds, campus police; Kandie Johnson, women’s housing; Alfred Griffin, transportation; Sarita Mills, switchboard; Claire Garretson, recruiting; Kimberly Bradshaw, math instructor; Jennifer Hughes, adult education; Beth McDaniel, scholarships; Jason Mills, grounds and farm; Tom Wagnon, groundskeeper; Brendan Connolly, men’s soccer coach; Tina Livingston, housing and campus police; Greg Wascoe, fine arts instructor; Rod Tolbert, industrial services chair/welding instructor; Tonya Moreno, cosmetology instructor; Casey Herrington, associate degree nursing instructor; Billy Clark, welding instructor; James Thomas, campus police; Vickie Robinson, housekeeping; Ken Knox, adult basic education and Kenneth Savell, shipping and receiving.
