Residential Electrical Course is offered at JCJC ATC in Ellisville

ELLISVILLE – Jones County Junior College’s Workforce College will be offering a Residential Electrical course at the Whitehead Advanced Technology Center in Ellisville.  The nine-week day class will meet Monday through Thursday, from 8 a.m. until 1 p.m. starting on Tuesday, April 18, and ending on Friday, June 23.
 
The Residential Electrical class is a hands-on, instructor-led course that teaches students basic electrician skills. In this course, students will learn skills such as electrical safety, electrical theory, conductors and cables, basic electrical drawings, residential electrical drawings and services, electrical test equipment and an introduction to electrical circuits and an introduction to the National Electrical Code.
 
This course is for anyone with limited or no previous electrical training with the goal of earning the National Center for Construction Education and Research transcript and a nationally recognized credential card. Also, upon successful completion of the course, students will receive a JCJC Workforce College Certificate with the number of course hours completed. The cost for this course is $150. Students are responsible for purchasing their own personal protective equipment (PPE).
