JCJC is offering a pipefitting class at the ATC in Ellisville

ELLISVILLE – Jones County Junior College’s Workforce College is offering a new Pipefitting class at the JCJC Whitehead Advanced Technology Center in Ellisville.  The evening class will meet on Monday, Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays from 5:30 p.m. until 9:30 p.m. The class will begin on Monday, September 6 through December 15.
 
The Pipefitting class will cover CORE, Level 1 and Level 2 of the National Center for Construction Education and Research (NCCER) curriculum and will prepare students for the NCCER credentials.  Topics covered in the class include basic safety, construction and pipefitting math, hand tools, power tools, blueprint reading, basic rigging, employability and communication skills, oxyfuel cutting, piping systems, fabrication and installation.

The cost for this course is $500. Students are responsible to purchase their own personal protective equipment (PPE). To register, pay and get a PPE list for the class come to the Advanced Technology Center at 72 Technology Blvd, Ellisville, or call Carmen Sumrall at (601) 477-4105.
