JCJC offers General Residential Construction course

ELLISVILLE – Jones County Junior College’s Workforce College is now offering General Residential Construction course beginning Monday, September 12 through November 18.  The morning class will meet from 8 a.m. until 12 p.m., Monday through Friday at the JCJC Advanced Technology Center in Ellisville.  The cost of the class is $150.

Students will learn about building materials, fasteners, adhesives, hand and power tools, construction drawings, floor systems, wall systems, basic stair layout, ceiling joist and roof framing. Upon completion of the course, successful participants will earn a National Center for Construction Education and Research transcript and a nationally recognized credential card.
