JCJC offers Introduction to Plumbing course

ELLISVILLE – Jones County Junior College’s Workforce College is now offering Introduction to Plumbing beginning on Tuesday, September 6 through December 19.  The evening class will meet from 5:30 p.m. until 9:30 p.m. on Monday and Tuesday evenings at the JCJC Advanced Technology Center in Ellisville.  The cost of the class is $150.

Students will learn about plumbing safety, plumbing math, plastic and copper pipe, construction drawings, plumbing fixtures, cast iron pipe and fittings, carbon steel pipe and fittings, and be introduced to drain, waste, vent and water distribution systems.  Upon completion of the course, successful participants will earn a National Center for Construction Education and Research transcript and a nationally recognized credential card.
