JCJC’s Concert Choir performing at First Baptist Church Laurel

ELLISVILLE–Jones County Junior College’s Concert Choir will be performing on Sunday, April 10, at 3 p.m. in the sanctuary of First Baptist Church of Laurel.  JCJC choral director, Joel Dunlap will be leading the 102-member concert choir and invites the public to this event, free of charge.   
 
The program will include a variety of selections with excerpts from Mozart's, “Requiem.”  Additionally, the concert will include a gospel and spiritual selection featuring student soloists:  Lydia Myers of Laurel, Austin Perkins of Ellisville, Trey Hicks of Ellisville, Lexus Peppers of Ellisville, Gary Young, Jr., of Ellisville, Jessica McLaurin of Louin, Jarvis Russell of Long Beach and J.D. Bilbo of Ellisville. 
 
Also on the program will be organist Nathan Jones and Dr. Victoria Johnson. Assisting the choir as the group’s accompanist is JCJC’s fine arts faculty member and organist, Kay Guiles. For more information contact the JCJC Fine Arts Department at 601-477-4094.
