JCJC sophomore music students perform

ELLISVILLE –Ten Jones County Junior College sophomore music students are inviting the public to hear their last solo performances before graduation.  Sophomores expected to perform are: David Walker, Laurel; Tanner Crabtree, Gautier; Kennedy Jarrell, Sandersville; Rohini Malkani, Hattiesburg; Shaquille Shelwood, Ellisville; Bryce Kinzer, Gautier; Austin Perkins, Ellisville; Simone’ Johnson, Hattiesburg; Sophia Daniel, Hattiesburg; Elizabeth Hensarling, Patterson, California. The final performances will be held in the Foote Chapel on the JCJC campus in Ellisville on three nights in April.
 
Scheduled to perform on Monday, April 4, at 7 p.m., is David Walker of Laurel will give a vocal recital while Tanner Crabtree of Gautier will perform on his oboe and Kennedy Jarrell of Sandersville will give a performance on the clarinet.   
 
On Tuesday, April 12, Bryce Kinzer of Gautier will perform on his horn while Shaquille Shelwood will give a piano recital and Rohini Malkani of Hattiesburg will be singing.
 
Final performances for Simone’ Johnson of Hattiesburg on tuba and trumpeter, Sophia Daniel of Hattiesburg will join vocalists, Austin Perkins of Ellisville and Elizabeth Hensarling of Patterson, California will be held on Monday, April 18, at 7 p.m.
 
Each recital is free and open to the public and is a part of the sophomore music student’s degree requirements for JCJC.  For more information about the JCJC music program or the sophomore recitals call the Fine Arts department at 601-477-4094.
