JCJC student earns Charles M. Leggett Foundation Scholarship

ELLISVILLE –Jones County Junior College sophomore Steven Miller recently received the Charles M. Leggett Scholarship at the JCJC Foundation Inc., sponsored Award’s Day program.  This scholarship is funded annually by Charles M. Leggett of Waynesboro for an upcoming sophomore from Waynesboro attending Jones County Junior College. Miller’s goal is to graduate from JCJC with an Associate of Arts degree in Business Administration December 2015, and transfer to MSU-Meridian’s College of Business to pursue a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Business Administration with a minor in marketing.

Miller is involved in the NTSA (Non-Traditional Student Association) and serves as the Wayne County Liaison for the group, as well as being involved in the JCJC College Republicans. He is proud to have made the President's List (4.0 GPA) Honor Roll and the Faculty List (3.5-3.0 GPA) Honor Roll during his years at Jones.
