JCJC Hosts Fall Choral Festival

ELLISVILLE - The Jones County Junior College Concert Choir is inviting the public to the annual Fall Choral Festival featuring five area High School concert choirs. The JCJC Fall Choral Festival will include the concert choirs of Forrest County Agricultural High School, directed by JCJC alumnus, Andy Smigielski, Laurel High School, directed by JCJC alumna, Krista McKenzie, Long Beach High School, directed by Terry Walker, Ridgeland High School, directed by Rachel Upton, and Sumrall High School, directed by Jeffery Coulter.

These outstanding local choirs will join with the Jones County Junior College Concert Choir, under the direction of Joel Dunlap, to present a concert on Tuesday, October 13, at 7 p.m. in the M.P. Bush Fine Arts auditorium. Each choir will sing several selections, and the evening with culminate with over 400 participating singers in a rousing rendition of Rollo Dilworth's, “I Sing Because I'm Happy”. The concert is free and open to the public.
