JCJC is offering Commercial Truck Driving in Wayne County

ELLISVILLE – Jones County Junior College’s Workforce Development is offering a non-credit, Commercial Truck Driving class at the Wayne County Center in Waynesboro. This course will meet on Saturdays, from 8 a.m. until 4 p.m., beginning October 3, through November 21. 
 
The commercial truck driving class will cover MDOT Rules, basic safety,  air brakes, hazardous materials, emergencies, driving practices, vehicle inspections, proper shifting, maneuvering coupling, uncoupling, backing loading and unloading cargo, verifying loads against shipping records, log books, paperwork preparation and  map reading. At the end of the course, students will receive a certificate of completion and they will be prepared for the road test. The cost for the non-credit commercial truck driving course is $650.
