ELLISVILLE– For a limited time, Jones County Junior College’s Adult Basic Education/GED department is offering the GED Ready practice test for no charge. The six-dollar fee will be waived from September 22, through October 3, 2014. The free practice test is available at all eight testing centers: JCJC campus in Ellisville, WIN Job Center in Laurel, Covington County Center in Collins, Greene County Vo-Tech in Leakesville, Jasper County Learning Center in Bay Springs, Clarke County Courthouse in Quitman, Smith County’s Adult Education Center in Taylorsville and the Wayne County Adult Education Center in Waynesboro.
Taking the GED Ready practice test is encouraged to determine if the student is ready to pass the GED test and to determine what areas need further practice. A personalized study plan, detailing pages and chapters to study is generated following the completion of the GED Ready practice test. This is a new practice test for the new GED test which was implemented in January, 2014.
Students can also learn about classes and other resources to help them prepare for the GED test. To learn more or to schedule a free GED Ready practice test, contact Darlene Ulland at 601.477.2490 or 601.477.4164
