MINNEAPOLIS – A pair of former Jones County Junior College teammates were on opposing sidelines for Saturday’s NFL preseason game between the Seattle Seahawks and Minnesota Vikings here at Mall of America Field.

Wide receiver Javon Walker, who signed with the Vikings on Tuesday of last week, caught a beautiful, 25-yard scoring pass from backup quarterback Sage Rosenfels in the third quarter. Walker, who played at JCJC in 1998-99, ended the game with two receptions for 32 yards.

Wide receiver Deion Branch, who played for the Bobcats in 1997-98, had one catch for 42 yards for the Seahawks. Minnesota won the game, 24-13.

Both teams will end the preseason on Thursday. The Vikings will host the Denver Broncos at 7 p.m., while the Seahawks will visit the Oakland Raiders at 9 p.m.
