Military & First Responders Appreciation Night at JCJC’s September 11, football game

ELLISVILLE – On September 11, 2001, nearly 3,000 Americans lost their lives at the hands of the now infamous terrorist attacks of that morning. Some of the victims were innocently going about their everyday work lives, while others willingly sacrificed themselves to save others.

Often referred to as Patriot Day, September 11, has become a day to reflect on the many acts of heroism performed by fire fighters/first responders and military personnel.

In memory of those who gave the ultimate sacrifice that day, and in honor of those who continue to put themselves in harm's way to protect U. S. citizens, Jones County Junior College will honor the many members of the military and fire fighters/first responders Thursday, September 11, at the JCJC versus Southwest Community College football game.

All active and former military members and first responders must show I.D., be in uniform, or wear their unit's t-shirt to get free admission for the 7 p.m. game. Those taking part in the “Military & First Responders Appreciation Night” will be recognized during the football game.  For more information contact:
