ELLISVILLE– Jones County Junior College faculty and staff continued the traditional toy drive for a grateful Laurel Salvation Army. Six large bags of toys were collected at the annual Employee Recognition Luncheon to assist the Salvation Army with its Angel Tree program.
Salvation Army’s Lt. Stacey Connelly said, “This is a huge blessing! Our donations were getting low this week and these toys will help a lot because we still have Angels who need adopting.”
VP of Advancement and the Executive Director of the Foundation Inc., Caroline Ramagos explained, “This was an opportunity for the college’s employees to give back to the community and we were overwhelmed with their generosity. We were still collecting gifts long after the luncheon was over. This makes me even prouder to be a part of the Jones family.”
Ramagos said the Toy Drive began last year as part of a new JCJC Christmas tradition.
