JCJC faculty honored by Faculty and Staff Association

ELLISVILLE– Four members of the Jones County Junior College Faculty and Staff Association were recently honored for their work in that association. Selection was based on the nominee’s outstanding abilities in the FSA, classroom, community and other professional accomplishments.
President of the organization, Dr. Matthew Burnham received the Officer of the Year Award. He has served as President of the FSA for the last eight years. In his roles as VP and President, Burnham has attended every meeting and Capitol Day activities for the past 11 years. The science instructor proudly leads the largest FSA in the state with 98 members. As a reward, Burnham received a plaque and $200.
The Professional Development Award was given to three members of the FSA to assist with the cost of required post-graduate courses. Associate Degree Nursing instructors Erin Knight and Tammie Chandler along with eLearning Coordinator, Kandace Martin each received a $200 cash award.
